Trial: Colonial Women Missionaries of the Committee for Women's Work, 1861–1967

Until 11 November, you can make use of a trial of Colonial Women Missionaries of the Committee for Women's Work, 1861–1967 from the British Online Archives (BOA).
Discover the stories of missionary women and their promotion of female education around the world through a collection of letters, reports, meeting minutes and other historical records.
The collection includes records of the Ladies' Association for the Promotion of Female Education, founded in 1866 as part of the Anglican missionary organisation SPG (now USPG). This organisation supported women in training and working as missionaries at a time when female education was often restricted and controversial.
These records cover the full range of countries where the committee was active. The countries covered include India, Burma, China, Japan, Syria, South Africa, Madagascar, Mauritius, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.
