Opening hours:

Monday-Friday, 9.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.

Please note: from 6 July through 31 august summer opening hours apply. During this period, the reading room will be open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. From 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we can be reached by email and phone.

In order to protect the physical condition of our materials there are some restrictions on their availability for use. They are not available to consult if the temperature in our reading room exceeds 24⁰C or the air humidity is below 40% or above 70%.

These restrictions apply to photographical materials, books consisting of parchment, parchments bindings and all manuscripts incl. maps. In other cases, too, access may be denied or its duration restricted at the discretion of our staff.
