Project Presentation Day
|Waar:||University College Groningen|
On 19 June 2017, University College Groningen (UCG) students will present the results of their work on twenty-five projects, spanning topics in sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Presentations will take a variety of forms including gallery installations, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, performance, interactive gaming, as well as traditional reports and slide presentations. The audience for Project Presentation Day is by invitation. University College Groningen (UCG) is unique among liberal arts and science programs in the Netherlands for its emphasis on project-based education. Alongside traditional lectures and seminar-style classes, all our students also work in interdisciplinary project teams applying classroom learning to complex, real-world social problems. Projects require a variety of skills including brainstorming, research and analysis, fieldwork, practical ethics, collaborative problem-solving, communication strategies, and project management. Each project offers recommendations for change, often to a partner organization from the Groningen community or other parts of the Netherlands.
