Dr. Verspoor currently team-teaches three courses in the MA-Applied Linguistics: Theoretical Perspectives, Research Methodology, and Teaching and Learning Aspects.
In the English and Culture Department, she team-teaches the Introduction to English Linguistics course, which includes an introduction to construction grammar and a cognitive linguistic approach to English vocabulary. In the MA program she teaches a course in L2 (English) development, focusing on the acquisition of formulaic sequences, and next year she will team-teach a course in construction grammar in the Research Master.
In 2009, Dr. Verspoor was elected as “Teacher of the Year” in the Faculty of Arts.
