On June 26th 2019 during the Nanosymposium the Teacher of the Year Award 2018-2019 for the Master Nanoscience was awarded to Prof. dr. Richard Hildner.

The election was organized by the student members of the programme committee of Nanoscience. All Nanoscience students (of both active cohorts) were able to vote for the teacher of the year and motivate their choice.

Quote from a student: “Prof. Hildner didn’t mind spending the entire break once to explain me something I didn’t understand. I’m grateful for that!”

One student mentioned that although they were initially not that much interested in the subject, they thoroughly enjoyed the lectures of Prof. Hildner.

Despite being a new lecturer within the Nanoscience Master programme, Prof. Hildner outperformed the high expectations students have of the lecturers.
