NWO news: ( 14/4/2021)

33 leading researchers will each receive 1.5 million euros from the Dutch Research Council (NWO). This Vici grant will enable them to develop an innovative line of research and set up their own research group in the coming five years. Vici is one of the largest scientific grants for individuals in the Netherlands and targets advanced researchers.

The Project:

This project will identify variants in bacterial genomes, and their interactions with the human genome, to assess their roles in determining individual risk of developing cardiometabolic disease.
