Simon Gazagnes, DSSC PhD, receives Cum Laude

01 October 2021

We are proud to announce that Simon Gazagnes, DSSC PhD, has received the distinction Cum Laude for his thesis "Vast and Fast Data in the era of large astrophysics and particle physics experiments." The project's aim was to develop and optimize new algorithms to process the huge amount of data that are too large to process on a single node, or handle data-acquisition having a data rate so high (e.g. in astrophysics and particle physics) that it makes challenging the storage of all the information recorded.

Simon will soon start a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin.
Congratulations for your achievements, Simon!
