Our academic advisors provide more detailed information about our programmes and give advice to prospective students, students who are enrolled in one of our programmes, and alumni.
You can turn to them with questions about
- the programme itself
- study planning
- choosing courses/minors
- enrollment
- rules and regulations that apply to a programme
- following courses at other faculties
- studying abroad
- getting your diploma, etc.
The academic advisors also monitor your study progress and will invite you talk about your progress, if necessary. It is important to realize that you can turn to your academic advisors in case of personal problems that affect your study performance, as there are a number of rules and funds that can help you getting through difficult times. However, it is crucial to inform the academic advisors on time, such that appropriate measures can be taken and the best advice can be provided.
So, do not hesitate to make an appointment with your academic advisor. You can arrange for a meeting by phone (+31-(0)50-363 6301, student service desk) or at the student service desk. In case of short questions (that will require about 5-10 minutes of the advisor's time), you can come to the walk-in contact hours. Please also check our online information system. Often, you are not the first person to have a particular question, and the online information system may already have an answer for you.
You can find the academic advisors on the ground floor of the Heymans building (right across the porters' desk).
