Once a year, in September, GBB provides a mandatory Introduction Course for new Ph.D. students. The course consists of demonstrations, lectures and workshops given by scientists of all GBB research groups. The aim is to inform Ph.D. students on the research conducted in the different GBB groups and to make them aware of the available expertise in other groups. Moreover, it introduces the students to the GBB tradition of collaborative research within the institute. The Ph.D. student should register for this course at the GBB Coordinating Office, following the announcement that will be send to all new Ph.D. students.
