Enhancing adoption of e-government initiatives in Tanzania
In Tanzania, the government is implementing various e-Government initiatives for the citizens. Citizen adoption is a key determinant of the success of the initiatives. Unfortunately, limited guidance is available for e-Government practitioners to implement citizen adoptable e-Government initiatives in Tanzania.
Jim Yonazi's thesis provides an approach for enhancing citizen adoption of e-Government initiatives in the country. This approach is based on an analysis of adoption theories, issues from Tanzania, and has been evaluated on its usefulness, and usability in the country. The approach, in a form of guidelines, facilitates decisions related to identification, design, development, and evaluation of citizen adoptable e-Government initiatives. This approach contributes in ensuring high adoption by providing citizens with value added e-Government initiatives. This will enhance the 2 possibility of the success of citizen-focused e-Government initiatives in Tanzania and other similar developing countries.
