Opening of the Academic Year: Working up a sweat with Zora
Last Thursday we officially opened the Academic Year! This year's theme was "New Perspectives on health and value-based healthcare". We welcomed speakers on healthcare and handed out awards to best students and lecturers.
With inspiring lectures of Machteld Huber, founder of the Institute of Positive Health, Ate van der Zee, Professor of Gynaecological Oncology and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the UMCG, and Liesbeth de Vries, Professor Medical Oncology at the UMCG, we got a peek into the future of health and healthcare. Also, we worked up a serious sweat with our very special 'guest' Zora the care robot. Besides the lectures we had an awards ceremony for the newcomer, lecturer and freshmans of the year.
And the awards went to...
