Healthwise conference "Organising Healthcare Innovations
On 4 November 2016 the Center of Expertise Healthwise of the University of Groningen will organise its fourth congress. The theme of the conference is ‘Organising Healthcare Innovations’, with keynote speakers Kieran Walshe (Manchester Business School), Philippe Delespaul (Maastricht University) and Henk van der Wal (Institute for Defence and Partnerships Hospitals, Ministry of Defence). Managers, professionals and researchers who work in the healthcare sector, science and policy world are cordially invited for this meeting. The conference offers a diverse program with plenary presentations and parallel sessions of both scientists and professionals from practice.

Science and Practice
In several parallel sessions (Dutch and English) we learn from the experiences of innovative organisations, such as Vivalib Nederland, Bureau HHM, Zilveren Kruis Achmea, UMCG, Ziekenhuis Gelderse Rijn, and Nij Smellinghe Ziekenhuis. The academic perspective will be provided by leading researchers, such as professor Albert Boonstra (RUG), dr. Janita Vos (RUG), professor Hans Wortmann (RUG), professor Mark Neerincx (TNO, Delft University of Technology), professor Kees Ahaus (RUG), dr. Marjolein van Offenbeek (RUG), professor Bernard van den Berg (RUG), and PhD candidate Bart Noort (RUG). The conference will include a debate, led by David Langley (RUG), about the rise of platform based business models in primary care and the challenges and opportunities for the Dutch and European health sectors.
