Registration and enrolment

For Dutch students

The registration procedure depends on the degree programme, your qualifications and whether or not you have been enrolled at the University before.

Bachelor’s registration Dutch prospectives closes on 1 May!

As of this academic year, for prospective Dutch students the registration period for University of Groningen Bachelor’s degree programmes will close on 1 May. This deadline also applies to students transferring from a university of applied sciences or from another research university or other University of Groningen degree programme, but not for pre-master students. This means you will no longer be able to postpone your choice of degree programme until after the summer vacation. Once you have registered via Studielink, you will automatically be registered for the compulsory 'matching' procedure, during which your motivation for, ideas and expectations concerning the degree programme will be examined. You must therefore register before 1 May 2018.

N.B. This deadline does not apply to degree programmes with fixed quotas (‘numerus fixus’) – these degree programmes use decentralized selection procedures with deadlines earlier in the year.
