Groninger Museumnacht 2019 ticket sales open

Online ticket sales for the Groninger Museumnacht (Groningen Museum Night) are now open. On Saturday 7 September, culture lovers can visit five museums for €5 between 7pm and 1am: the Groninger Museum, the GRID Grafisch Museum Groningen, Storyworld, the Northern Maritime Museum and the University Museum. The event has sold out for the past two
years
.
New to the list this year is Storyworld, a museum for comics, animation and games set to open in late 2019 inside the Groninger Forum on Nieuwe Markt. During the Groninger Museumnacht, Storyworld will host workshops in comic illustration, GIF making, and animation at a pop-up location on Hereplein. For this edition the organisation is working closely with the Student Cultural Centre USVA, which will provide part of the programming at each museum on the night. The full line-up of art, music, workshops and talks will be posted on
groningermuseumnacht.nl .
Tickets
Tickets are available for €5 from
tickets.groningermuseum.nl/en . From 5 September, tickets can be exchanged for wristbands at the ticket desk of any participating museum (except Storyworld). Wristbands gain visitors entry to all the locations on the Groninger Museumnacht on 7 September, and entitle visitors to one additional subsequent visit to one of the five museums.
The organising committee of the Groninger Museumnacht is looking for volunteers. People who want to help make the Groninger Museumnacht an unforgettable experience, can contact Lynn Zwartsenburg via
