I study the psychological and cultural foundations of gender relations and inequality, using quantitative and qualitative research methods (e.g. lab experiments, vignette studies, surveys, observations, interviews).
My research is directed to finding new ways of addressing gender equality by offering researchers and the general public a more nuanced understanding of why sexist beliefs, honor norms, and gender-based violence persist. I enjoy collaborating on research that brings combined nature and nurture perspectives into existing research questions in psychology around these topics.
