Koert van Ittersum is professor of Marketing and Consumer Well-being at the University of Groningen since 2013. He received his PhD from Wageningen University in 2001, following which he worked at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign, USA) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta) for a number of years. He (co)authored over thirty articles in such journals as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Annals of Internal Medicine, British Medical Journal as well as other premier academic journals. In his research and teaching he argues and demonstrates how marketing can contribute to the well-being of consumers. Van Ittersum focuses predominantly on healthier and more sustainable diets.
