Title: ML and its use in remote sensing and interferometry

Abstract:

ML has been used in many disciplines, including remote sensing and interferometry. Remote sensing is the art of converting information about the earth which was recorded by distant platforms into useful information. An interferometer is an array of radio antennas that function together to observe radio emission. In this talk, will cover some of the applications of ML to perform landcover classification and building segmentation. We will also look at the current Deep Learning approaches which are used to classify radio galaxies according to their morphology.
