2013 Friends of the Supergrid Annual Meeting & Award
On March 19th the annual meeting of the Friends of the Supergrid (FOSG) was held in Brussels, congregating representatives of companies, organisations, and academic institutions interested in the evolution and development of a large-scale offshore interconnection network in the North Sea.
The meeting held the ceremony of 2013 FOSG Award, which credited the joint and interdisciplinary research performed by the Groningen Centre of Energy Law (GCEL) and the Delft University of Technology (TUD). Professor Dr Martha Roggenkamp of GCEL, University of Groningen, and Professor Mart van der Meyden of TUD were present at the ceremony.

Veni-grants for ten researchers
The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has awarded a Veni grant of up to €320,000 each to ten researchers of the University of Groningen and the UMCG. The Veni grants are designed for outstanding researchers who have recently gained a PhD.
