PopFestPopFest: Annual population studies conference organised by postgraduate students for fellow postgraduatesPopFest is a great opportunity for all young researchers of population studies or related fields to present and discuss their research, as well as get acquainted with research topics done by fellow colleagues. It is also a good occasion to witness how research in population studies is conducted in different universities and countries, as well as to prepare oneself for future academic activities and broaden one’s network. PopFest invites postgraduate students from various research institutes and universities who are studying any aspect of demography to present their works-in-progress or finalised work at PopFest 2011. Representatives from various disciplines are welcome, such as Social Sciences, Demography, Human Geography, Social Anthropology, Social Statistics, Health, Development, Social Policy, and others. PopFest has been kept alive by the postgraduate community and the British Society for Population Studies (BSPS). In 2011, PopFest was hosted for the first time in its history outside the United Kingdom; June 27 - 29, at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Information about programme and sponsors are can be found on this website. For all inquiries please contact the organising committee: popfest2011@rug.nl To keep up to date, please follow PopFest on Facebook and Twitter.
