Green Office Groningen to kick off on Sustainability Day

08 October 2014

On Friday 10 October, Jan de Jeu will open Green Office Groningen, the one-stop point of contact for any questions that University of Groningen staff and students may have about sustainability. Green Office aims to bring together sustainable research, teaching and initiatives and appointed five staff members to this end on 1 October.

Green Office will be collaborating with various partners, including the Green University task group (previously called the Sustainability Steering Group), the Science Shops and a number of existing student initiatives and local sustainability initiatives. These parties will meet during the official Green Office opening ceremony on the Dag van de Duurzaamheid, Sustainability Day, a day filled with a variety of national activities and events to help accelerate the transfer to a more sustainable society.
