Korean students visit Summer School
The University of Groningen hosts a wide range of summer schools, which are a wonderful way to bring bright students and inspired researchers together.
In July a group of 20 Korean students from the Pusan National University, with which the University of Groningen has a close connection, attended one of the summer schools in Groningen. The University of Groningen has a special relationship with Korea. Professor Sibrand Poppema, President of the Board of the University of Groningen, is Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea. The university library also hosts a Korea Corner, with literature and digital information and the university’s Centre for East Asia Studies Groningen has a special Korean Studies program.
