Dijkstra, dr. Jan Kornelis
Jan Kornelis Dijkstra is Associate Professor bij de afdeling Sociologie. Hij studeerde Sociologie aan de RUG (cum laude) en promoveerde in 2007 op het proefschrift ‘Status and Affection among (pre)adolescents and their Relation with Antisocial and Prosocial Behavior’. Hij doet onderzoek naar jongeren, risicogedrag, status en sociale netwerken. Hij probeert via de netwerkbenadering te ontrafelen waar en wanneer sprake is van beïnvloeding en wanneer van selectie, als het gaat om jongeren, groepsvorming en gedrag. Daarnaast is hij betrokken bij onderzoek naar hulprelaties in netwerken en liefdesrelaties tussen jongeren.
