Introduction

Rosalind Franklin Fellowships - Tenure track for promising female academic staff

RFF

Rosalind Franklin Fellowships

To promote the advancement of women in the university, the University of Groningen offers a prestigious fellowship programme, named after Rosalind Franklin, whose X-ray studies of DNA were crucial to determining its structure.

Successful candidates will set up their own research project(s) in the area of their choice, including funds to support a PhD project, and will be expected to attract external funding. They will also contribute to the teaching programs within the faculty.

Faculty of Arts

The Faculty of Arts is a large, dynamic faculty in the heart of the city of Groningen. It has more than 5000 students and 700 staff members. Besides the more traditional language and culture programmes, the faculty offers degree programmes in a wide range of disciplines, from archaeology to international relations, from journalism to history of architecture.

Research is carried out in the field of modern and classical languages and cultures, history, art history, archaeology, linguistics and international relations. The classic and broad profile of the faculty provides for a fertile soil where discoveries are born and innovation takes place in an inter- and multidisciplinary cooperation.

Tenure Track positions

At the moment there are four Tenure Track positions available at the Faculty of Arts. The deadline for application is closed.

More information

Additional information about the fellowship can be obtained from prof. Gerry Wakker, dean of the faculty and chair of the pre-selection committee.
