Meeting Dutch Association for Agricultural History 17th April 2009

The Dutch Association for Agricultural History wiil have the annual seminar at 17th April 2009. This year Agricaulture and landscape is the central issue. Prof. dr. P. Kooij will give an introduction. Merijn Molema, Jan Bieleman, Erwin Karel and Saskia Heins will give lectures.

 

Rural life and Identity 29th May 2009

The NAHI will organise together with the Belgian ICAG a seminar on 29th May 2009 in Leuven about Rural Life and identity in the Netherlands and Flanders after 1945 . Lectures will be given by: Rien Emmery (University Leuven), Els Devos (University Leuven),  Lies Messely (ILVO, Gent), Joks Janssen (Province North-Brabant), Anja Steenbekkers (SCP, Den Haag) en Erwin Karel (University of Groningen).

Rural Europe

The project 'Towards a deeper understanding of Rural Europe' is part of an education programme of Turkish, French and Dutch universities. In each country six students participate (antropology, history/historical geography and arts). They do researchwork in two rural villages. In the Netherlands these are Liederholthuis en Papeveer.
