Youth on stage, short talks on youth studies @BSS
After the official opening of the academic year by our new dean Prof. Kees Aarts, we will give the floor to Youth Studies. In three shorts talks, introduced by Prof. Greetje Timmerman (Professor of ‘Youth as a Social Phenomenon’), researchers from our faculty will give us a glimpse of their studies of the young generation. Drs. Wieke Dalenberg examines the romantic and sexual development of young adults. Children in complex and problematic family situations are the subject of Dr. Jana Knot’s presentation, and Dr. Tina Kretschmer discusses the various studies on bullying at our faculty and especially bullying in high school. The theatre group Stranger Things Have Happened will give a theatrical reaction after each presentation.
After the official programme, there will be a festive gathering at the ‘Orangerie’.
Thursday September 8th - doors open from 15.30 - start programme: 15.45 uur - location: Kouwerzaal - Talks in English
