Masterclass for ReMastudents and starting PhD’s
Netherlands Research School for Medieval Studies (1 ECTS)
Masterclass on the basis of McGinns recent article “Apocalypticism and Mysticism in Joachim of Fiore's Expositio in Apocalypsim." Students will read this unpublished article, together with a few translated sections of the Expositio. On the basis of that they write a 3 page referee report for the article with a clear judgment, to be handed in before 19 June.
In class Prof. McGinn will show how he came to his conclusions on the relation of Apocalypticism and Mysticism and will together with the participants discuss their referee reports.
