The Faculty Council is the official representative advisory body in which staff and students participate and consist of 18 members: 9 staff and 9 student members.
The Faculty Board meets with the Council once in six weeks to discuss issues of staffing policy, Faculty finance, Health and Safety regulations, housing, organisational change, the budget, teaching and research.
The Board needs the Council's consent in the Education and Exam Regulations (OER). In all other issues the staff members have the right to advise or tot make recommendations.
The members of the Council are officially elected: the staff members once in two years and the student members every year. The composition of the Faculty Council can be found in the left-hand menu (see ''Samenstelling van de faculteitsraad).
