General Information
The department of Innovation Management & Strategy (IM&S) develops and disseminates knowledge in five core areas: collaborative innovation, strategic management, digital and corporate governance,information systems and entrepreneurship. IM&S has 58 academic staff members, that have achieved international recognition for their research.
The high quality of the group’s research has resulted in numerous publications in leading international journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, MIS Quarterly, Organization Science, Research Policy and Strategic Management Journal. IM&S researchers have also been successful in receiving substantial research grants from national and European institutions, such as the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research and the European Investment Bank.
The IM&S department teaches bachelor, master, PhD and executive courses on a broad range of topics related to the strategic management of innovation, organisational change, health care management and entrepreneurship. Working with the latest knowledge on innovation management and entrepreneurship, students are trained to develop the professional competencies that are relevant in today’s knowledge economy. The group is also committed to the region and contributes to its development by giving advice, support, and visibility to the local business community.
