Data Research Centre

The Data Research Centre of Campus Fryslân is a co-creation space between researchers, students, and university external stakeholders for research in all disciplines that connect to the domains of data science, artificial intelligence, internet of things, and serious gaming. We put a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research.
The Data Research Centre plays a crucial role for the Living Lab of Campus Fryslân and facilitates Data Sciences training and practice amongst all educational programmes.

Our team facilitates the work of researchers and students from all disciplines and the collaboration with industry, non-profit, and governmental partners. The Data Research Centre is collaborating with the partners of Friesland's Data Initiative, the Fryslân Data Lab. Focal areas in the Fryslân Data Lab are:
1. Cultural Capital of Europe 2018;
2. Tourism;
3. Health and Social Questions.

The Data Research Centre is currently being developed by prof. dr. Andrej Zwitter. It aims to be operational in Summer 2017.
