Welcome to Geo Services!
The University of Groningen's Geo Services stimulates and supports the use of spatial analysis and visualization techniques within the University and outside. Geo Services' activities involve geographic information systems (GIS), cartography and the utilization of geodata. The Flooding Landscapes Maps are an excellent example: the WOLK (wateroverlastlandschapskaarten) project maps show at a glance the areas in danger of flooding during extreme rainfall.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
