For Infinity: Jacobus Cornelius Kapteyn
The University of Groningen is celebrating its 400th anniversary in 2014. This will be celebrated (15 May – 15 June 2014) with a festive programme, with the theme For Infinity. What makes the University of Groningen what it is today: a teaching and research institute of stature? Which people, ideas and events in the past played a role? Someone who should certainly be commemorated is Jacobus Cornelius Kapteyn, professor of Astronomy (1851-1922).
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
