New videos Unifocus: Deafblindness, succes for protein researcher Slotboom and Tomorrow's Home

The new Unifocus, the video magazine of the University of Groningen, is online. In this week's edition:

  • The mission of Marleen Janssen. She wants to improve the lives of people who can hardly hear and see.
  • Succes for protein researcher Dirk Slotboom. Biochemists headed by Slotboom have managed to show how bacteria absorb the vitamin B3 they require. The study was published in the journal Nature Structural and Molecular Biology. It was Slotboom's fifth publication in Nature in just two years.
  • Hans Wortmann on Tomorrow’s Home, which combines living, care and smart technology.

Each episode of the biweekly online video magazine Unifocus includes three items related to the University of Groningen, in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
