University of Groningen to start first online academic course for children

24 February 2016

The University of Groningen is about to introduce an online course on the academic world for 10 to 12-year-olds. The UG is the first university to launch such an online course for this age group. Seven young academics each discuss one topic that relates closely to the world of children, illustrated with short films. The course will start in early April and run for seven weeks. Registration will open on 7 March.

Can you keep anything you find on the street? How can maths be used to make people better? Is everything you see real? These are just some of the questions that will be answered in the online science course organized by the University of Groningen Pre-University Academy, which also organizes activities such as web classes for pre-university pupils and junior lectures.
