UG sixth on list sustainable education institutions
This year, the UG has ended sixth on the list of most sustainable education institutions. The results were presented during the award-ceremony of the SustainaBul, the sustainability ranking of Dutch higher education institutions. The ceremony took place during the National Day for Sustainability in Higher Education at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, organized by SURFsara and Studenten voor Morgen. The ranking lists sustainability in the broadest sense of the word and is published for the sixth time this year.
Participating institutions can achieve a maximum score of 400 points. The SustainaBul assesses sustainability and transparency within four themes: Education, Research, Operations and Integrated Approach. The UG scored 340 points this year. In their report, the jury praised the Greenmind Awards as a way to stimulate unique, innovative research. With a score of 380, Wageningen University is the winner for the fifth consecutive year.
