Microbial dynamics in subgingival biofilms

Periodontitis refers to the teeth supporting tissues and begins with the accumulation of bacteria in biofilms on the tooth s surface. To study the role of bacteria, molecular techniques are optimized for use in periodontitis. For the first time, we visualized the architecture of the subgingival biofilm.
