Groups

When visiting the museum with a group (without a guided tour) you are most welcome. If you plan a visit with more than 8 people, we appreciate you inform us in advance because of the limited space in the museum and possible planned activities or other groups.



How to get there

The University Museum Groningen is situated in the centre of Groningen and is easily reachable by public transport, bicycle and car.

By public transport

The closest bus stop is Zuiderdiep’. Several busses stop at this bus stop. The University Museum Groningen is a 10 minute walk from this bus stop.

Bicycle

The University Museum Groningen is easily reachable by bicycle. You can park your bicycle either on the grounds of the museum or in the bicycle racks at the nearby 'Broerstraat'.

Car

The closest multistorey car parks are Q-Park Ossenmarkt and Interparking Centrum. For more information


Accessibility

The design of the University Museum Groningen ensures access for people in wheelchairs or using rolling walkers. The museum has a lift and disabled toilet facilities.

House rules

Eating and drinking

Food and drink are not allowed in the museum. The museum does not have a café, but there are many nearby café's, in the streets surrounding the museum.

Cloak room

Please don't bring large bags into the museum. Free lockers for coats and small bags are available.

Photographing

Photographing tor personal use is allowed. Using flash and tripods is not, and please take in consideration other visitors.

No smoking

The entire museum and museum grounds are smoke-free.

Pets

With the exception of guide dogs no pets are allowed in the museum.
