Representative Office in Mexico

The University of Groningen has a Representative Office at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City. The Office was established in 2019 as part of the University of Groningen's efforts to strengthen academic and research collaborations with institutions in Mexico and Latin America.

The Representative Office serves as a platform for promoting the University of Groningen's academic programs, research activities, and international partnerships for students, researchers, and academic institutions in Mexico and the broader Latin American region. It also supports student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and other academic collaborations between the University of Groningen and its Latin America Strategic Partners.

The Representative Office at UNAM reflects the University of Groningen's commitment to promoting internationalization and strengthening its presence in key regions around the world.

The Office is staffed by a representative of the University of Groningen, who works closely with the regional academic community and relevant staff to facilitate collaboration and strengthen partnerships. Currently, the Representative of the University of Groningen in Mexico is Sofía Marcado.
