Summer/Winter Schools

The Summer and Winter Schools are characterised by the unique combination of challenging scientific themes, interesting excursions and social programmes. They are organized with international partner universities and can also take place in locations other than Groningen.

The Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen invites you to join the summer school on Islam and Criminal Justice, which will be held from 14-21 September 2011.

The Faculty of Arts of the University of Groningen and the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome (KNIR) offer the interdisciplinary summer school 'Collecting and Preserving' in Rome.

The Faculty of Spatial Sciences (Human Geography, Planning and Demography) offers the summer course Society, Environment, Transportation and Space: the Dutch Experience.

These medical Summer and Autumn Schools take place every year and are aimed towards international acknowledgement for medical education. There are several Summer and Autumn School themes.

The Clinical Research Schools for medical students are specifically focused on clinical-scientific research. The main goal is to recruit ‘young potentials’ who are able to combine patient care with scientific research.
