Clinical Research Schools

For medical students

The Clinical Research Schools are a new development at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and are specifically focused on clinical-scientific research. The main goal is to recruit ‘young potentials’ who are able to combine patient care with scientific research. The Clinical Research Schools strive for scientific co-operation and pre- and post-graduate education on an international level. The intentions are to stimulate students’ interest in research from an early stage, to allow PhD students the opportunity to report on their research subjects and to encourage contact between research project leaders.

Participants are, among others, recruited from the Junior Scientific Masterclasses and various Graduate Schools; talented students are able to complete a PhD degree at the same time as their medical degree.
