KVI is active in fundamental and applied research. The fundamental research areas are in Astro-Particle Phyics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Fundamental Interactions and Symmetries, and Hadronic and Nuclear Phyics. Experimental and theoretical projects can be undertaken in these fileds. Applied research areas are in Accelerator Physics, Laser Physics, Nuclear and Particle Physics Detector Physics, and Radiobiology.
There are ample possibilities for physics students to do their Bachelor's and Master's training projects or internships in KVI research groups. In the menu on the left you will find specific information of the KVI research groups.
