One world!

The University of Groningen (founded in 1614) actively engages in international cooperation with partner universities from all over the world. It shares and transfers knowledge and expertise by exchanging students and staff, through (double degree) programmes, joint (PhD) research, symposia and other projects. The university's active membership of the Coimbra Group and other international networks affirms its position as a leading European research university.

Various faculties and academic groups take part in development cooperation projects that will lead to long-term relationships enhancing the teaching, research and profile of all partners involved.
