Erasmus Mundus Action 2


The coming four years, the University of Groningen will be actively involved in five new Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) projects, facilitating mobility between consortia of universities in EU and in non-EU countries and regions. Within these projects, calls for applications for EM scholarships will be opened starting in autumn 2011.

The new projects RUG will be involved in are:

  • EUROPLATA : incoming mobility of PhD students, postdocs and staff in Social Sciences, Arts/Humanities from Argentina. The University of Groningen is coordinator of the EUROPLATA consortium: www.europlata.eu

The University of Groningen is partner in the following projects

  • JoinEUSEE III : incoming and outgoing mobility at all levels and all fields of study with South East Europe (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia,Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania): www.joineusee.eu
  • LOTUS II : incoming mobility at all levels and fields of study from China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar: www.lotus.ugent.be
  • Eurotango II : incoming mobility from Argentina of PhD students postdocs and staff in Life Sciences and Science and Technology: www.eurotango.eu
  • EMERGE : incoming and outgoing mobility at all levels and all fields of study with Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus: www.emerge.uaic.ro

Not all RUG faculties participate in all projects, nor can all faculties serve all types of mobility. Application to the University of Groningen faculties is limited according to this scheme  [PDF](make pdf).

Outgoing mobility for RUG students and staff is possible in the JoinEUSEE and EMERGE projects in principle at all levels and all fields of study.
