Selection

The Honours College offers programmes for students that are able and willing to excel. For this reason, there will be a selection procedure for students want to be admitted to the Honours College.

Students who want to follow the Master’s Honours programme should have a Bachelor’s degree by the first of September with good to excellent results, including a Bachelor’s thesis (or another project to finish a Bachelor programme) marked above average. Especially students who have a Bachelor’s Honours certificate, students who have attended a University College or students who were actively involved in (student) organizations are invited to apply.

In the selection procedure you will be assessed on the following points:

  • your grades obtained so far;
  • your motivation to participate in the Master's Honours Programme: you are ambitious and willing to excel;
  • the potential to complete the Master's Honours Programme within the period specified (one year).

When you consider applying for a place at the Master's Honours Programme it is important to ask yourself the following questions:

  • am I able to plan realistically;
  • do I have sufficient social skills;
  • how do I cope with deadlines and stress;
  • how are my generic academic skills such as the ability to express myself in written and oral form;
  • am I willing to seek out and expand my own limits and the frontiers of my discipline?
