PhD Programme

The PhD programme of the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences is organized by the Graduate School Behavioural and Social Sciences. 

PhD students can be associated with the University of Groningen in the following ways:

The various categories in the menu on the left side of your screen provide more specific information on the way the PhD Programme is embedded in the faculty, on the legal status of PhD fellows and students, training opportunities, special facilities and organizations for PhD students.

All PhD fellows and students must adhere to the regulations for the PhD degree and the administrative procedures.

Applications

At the faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, we regularly offer PhD positions to talented students who are enthousiastic about research. Students with a master's degree in a relevant field can apply to the positions that we advertise online. For more information on currently available PhD positions, please visit the corresponding university website.  English translations can be found at Academic Transfer.  Please note that the option to become a PhD-student (bursaal) has been suspended.
