Intermediary Office

The Intermediary Office assists staff and students who have experienced undesirable behaviour and staff members who have to deal with conflicts in the workplace. It is considered undesirable behaviour if a person does not respect someone’s rights and boundaries and constantly harasses that person. This kind of behaviour can effectively ruin a work or study environment, especially when boundaries are still being crossed after it has been clearly indicated that this behaviour will not be tolerated. Sometimes it can also lead to feelings of unsafety. (Sexual) harassment, aggression, violence, and discrimination are considered undesirable behaviour that will not be tolerated at the State University Groningen. The University is very outspoken in this matter: this kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
