Faculty of Spatial Sciences

From the academic year 2005-6 the course Gender Space and Culture wil be a part of the Master programm. For information: b.van.hoven@frw.rug.nl

In the autumn of
2005 Prof. Dr.

Linda Schiebinger will give the course “Is Feminism Changing Science?” on behalf of students in the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

 

Faculty of Management and Organization

 

No courses are given but there are some other activities in relation to genderstudies.

  1. Bachelor thesis on a gender issue, IB&M, international business students.
  2. Masterthesis about genderstudies under scholarly supervision. For the university year 2004-2005 fifteen students are participating in this, next year the project will be continued, maybe with thirty students.
  3. Within the terminal project (Drs) on giving advice about solving specific problems students may choose a gender related theme, e.g. mentoring women within IBM or how to increase the percentage women managers at an accountant firm.

Supervisors of the thesis: Liesbeth Kneppers, Marjolein van Offenbeek, Justine Horgan en Caroline Quispel.
