PharmacoEpidemiology & PharmacoEconomics (FE²)

Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics is performing basic research to assess benefit-risk profiles of drugs, and to understand the mechanism of the optimal application of these drug profiles in pharmaceutical care.

Major areas of research are Pharmacoepidemiology, drug utilisation, drug information, and patient education, as well as business and science studies.

The aims of the group are to generate and optimise dynamic databases and computational tools for the assessment of benefit-risk profiles of drugs, to implement these benefit-risk profiles of drugs in protocols for optimal pharmaceutical care in the health care setting, and to evaluate the effectiveness of these protocols in pharmaceutical care.
