Academic calendar

At the University of Groningen the academic year starts in the first Monday of September. The academic year is divided into four blocks (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b).

Timetables

Lectures are scheduled in two-hour slots (09:00-11:00, 11:00-13:00, 13:00-15:00 and 17:00-19:00). Each lecture lasts 2x 45 minutes with a fifteen-minute break in between. Each lecture therefore ends fifteen minutes before the hour. This ensures a smooth preparation for fellow teachers and allows students to reach their next class without delay.
