  • I am no longer entitled to a student grant from DUO and still need six months to obtain my degree. What should I do?

In special cases there are organizations (eg private funds and foundations) that - under certain conditions - can lend a helping hand to students. Think, for example, of students who have high expenses due to a functional impairment or refugee students who do not receive full funding for their studies. For more information, please contact a student counsellor at the Student Service Centre.
  • What are the consequences of deregistration from the University of Groningen for my student finance?

Your student finance is not automatically terminated. You have to arrange this yourself at DUO. Do this on time, because you are no longer entitled to student finance, the student travel product or a loan from the month in which you are officially deregistered.
