Marine Benthic Ecology & Evolution

We are in the process of moving between two websites. The other site is here

The central theme of MarBEE is “Determinants of marine benthic diversity in space and time”.

The Department of Marine Benthic Ecology & Evolution (MarBEE) is one of seven groups within the Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Studies (CEES) within the Natural Sciences Faculty at the University of Groningen (RUG). The CEES cluster consists of MarBEE, Community and Conservation Ecology, Evolutionary Genetics, Plant Physiology, Animal Ecology, Microbial Ecology and Theoretical Biology. All groups also participate in the TopProgramme-MSc in Ecology and Evolution.

MarBEE and its sister research group, Ocean Ecosystems (OE)--which is part of the Energy and Sustainability Research Institute Groningen (ESRIG)--are responsible, along with the other CEES research groups, for the BSc and MSc programme in Marine Biology—now in its 26th year.
